Description:
At 853 PM CDT, a confirmed tornado was located 16 miles northeast of
Whitman, or 24 miles northwest of Mullen, moving northeast at 25 mph.
HAZARD...Damaging tornado and baseball size hail.
SOURCE...Weather spotters confirmed tornado.
IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without
shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage
to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is
likely.
Locations impacted include...
Whitman Road crossing the North Branch of the Middle Loup River,
Speckel Meir Lake, Sevenmile Hill, and Hire.
This includes Highway 97 between mile markers 83 and 84.
