Description:
At 407 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from near Riviera to 7 miles northeast of Encino to
8 miles south of El Coyote Ranch Airport. Movement was east at 30
mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and half inch hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Norias, Armstrong, Puerto Rico, Flowella, El Coyote Ranch Airport, U
S 77 Border Patrol Station, Encino, Sarita, Rachal, and Kenedy County
Sheriffs Office.
This includes the following highways...
US Highway 77 between mile markers 710 and 744.
US Highway 281 between mile markers 720 and 750.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 800 AM CDT for
Deep South Texas.
