Description:
At 316 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Colorado City Airport, or 8 miles west of Colorado City, moving east
at 35 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and nickel size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Colorado City, Loraine, Colorado City Airport, Inadale, Lake Colorado
City, Lake Colorado City State Park, Westbrook, Cuthbert, and Buford.
This includes Interstate 20 between mile markers 206 and 228.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 600 AM CDT for
western Texas.
