Description:
At 518 PM EDT, a strong thunderstorm was located near Lake Santee,
moving northeast at 30 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and penny size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Hail may cause minor damage to
vegetation.
Locations impacted include...
Peppertown, Blooming Grove, Laurel, Huntersville, Hamburg, Oldenburg,
Metamora, Buena Vista, Lake Santee, and Batesville.
This includes I-74 in Indiana between mile markers 145 and 149.
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a sturdy building.
A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until midnight EDT for
southeastern and east central Indiana.
