Description:
At 1203 AM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong
thunderstorms along a line extending from 8 miles northeast of
Danielsville to 7 miles north of Lexington to 10 miles northeast of
Greensboro. Movement was east at 50 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to outdoor objects is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Dewy Rose, Bowman, Fortsonia, Bobby Brown State Park, Lake Strom
Thurmond, Russell State Park, Rice Town, Bobby Brown State Recreation
Area, Ruckersville, and Lowndesville.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
