Description:
At 533 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking gusty showers along a line
extending from near Lafayette to 6 miles southwest of Crawfordsville.
Movement was east at 20 mph.
HAZARD...Winds in excess of 40 mph and potential for cold air
funnels.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include...
Thorntown, New Ross, Clarks Hill, New Market, Crawfordsville,
Darlington, Ladoga, Colfax, Linden, and Frankfort.
This includes the following highways...
Interstate 65 between mile markers 151 and 163.
Interstate 74 between mile markers 32 and 47.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
Conditions are favorable for the development of weak, brief funnel
clouds. This type of funnel cloud is harmless, but on rare occasions
they can briefly touch down, producing wind gusts over 50 mph. If a
funnel cloud is spotted move indoors and report your sighting to the
National Weather Service.
