At 156 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong thunderstorms along a line extending from 6 miles west of Rutledge to near New Market to Jefferson City to near Dandridge to Sevierville. Movement was northeast at 35 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and half inch hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... Panther Creek State Park, Bean Station, Russellville, Buffalo Springs, Treadway, Baneberry, Mooresburg, St. Clair, Joppa, and Jefferson City.
Instruction: 
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways. To report severe weather, contact your nearest law enforcement agency. They will relay your report to the National Weather Service office in Morristown.
