At 557 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over Glasford, or 10 miles west of Pekin, moving east at 25 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and penny size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... North Pekin, Banner, Mapleton, Powerton, Glasford, Pekin, South Pekin, Creve Coeur, Bartonville, Kingston Mines, Marquette Heights, East Peoria, and Peoria. This includes Interstate 474 between mile markers 8 and 10.
