Description:
At 944 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Brazoria, or near Sweeny, moving east at 30 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Brazoria, Sweeny, Richwood, Lake Jackson, Freeport, Jones Creek,
Oyster Creek, Wild Peach Village, Clute, West Columbia, and Surfside
Beach.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
