Description:
At 927 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from near La Porte to Hillcrest to near Holiday
Lakes. Movement was southeast at 20 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Juliff, Dickinson, Scholes Field, Bonney, Galveston Causeway,
Seabrook, Clute, Danbury, Galveston State Park, Liverpool, The
Johnson Space Center, Nassau Bay, Galveston Island West End,
Hitchcock, Bayou Vista, Jamaica Beach, Webster, Smith Point, Santa
Fe, and Morgan's Point.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
