Description: 
At 1045 AM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from 10 miles southeast of Camdenton to 11 miles southwest of Fort Leonard Wood to 9 miles west of Houston to near Cabool to 12 miles south of Mountain Grove, moving east at 55 mph. HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail. SOURCE...Emergency management. IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect considerable tree damage. Wind damage is also likely to mobile homes, roofs, and outbuildings. Locations impacted include... Competition, Montauk, Crocker, Huggins, Beulah, Lynchburg, Sleeper, Richland, Falcon, Success, Eunice, Stoutland, Laquey, Yukon, Roby, St. Robert, Clear Springs, Licking, Edgar Springs, and Solo. This includes Interstate 44 between mile markers 131 and 169, and between mile markers 171 and 173.

Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the basement or small central room in a sturdy structure. For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building. Continuous cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms. Move indoors immediately. Lightning is one of nature's leading killers. Remember, if you can hear thunder, you are close enough to be struck by lightning.
