North Central Chaves County in southeastern New Mexico... * Until 615 PM MDT. * At 509 PM MDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 18 miles northwest of Bitter Lake Wildlife Refuge, or 22 miles north of Roswell, moving east at 15 mph. HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees. * Locations impacted include... Mainly rural areas of North Central Chaves County. This includes Highway 285 between Mile Markers 121 and 139.
