Description:
At 604 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 7 miles northwest of
Barstow, or 10 miles north of Pecos, moving northeast at 35 mph.
HAZARD...Two inch hail and 70 mph wind gusts.
SOURCE...Broadcast media.
IMPACT...People and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect hail
damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles. Expect
considerable tree damage. Wind damage is also likely to
mobile homes, roofs, and outbuildings.
This severe thunderstorm will remain over mainly rural areas of
northwestern Ward and southeastern Loving Counties.
