At 746 PM MDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Causey, or 23
miles southeast of Portales, moving north at 35 mph.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and half dollar size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage
to roofs, siding, and trees.
Locations impacted include...
Dora, Causey, Pep and Rogers.
Instruction:
Seek shelter inside a well-built structure and stay away from
windows. This storm is capable of producing damaging winds and large
hail.
A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 900 PM MDT Friday for a
portion of east central New Mexico.
