Description:
At 627 PM CDT /527 PM MDT/, a severe thunderstorm was located 22
miles west of Eunice Airport, or 26 miles west of Eunice, moving
northeast at 30 mph.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to
roofs, siding, and trees.
Locations impacted include...
Halfway, Oil Center, and Slash Ranch.
Instruction:
A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 1000 PM CDT/900 PM MDT/ for
southeastern New Mexico.
Continuous cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Move indoors immediately. Lightning is one of nature's leading
killers. Remember, if you can hear thunder, you are close enough to
be struck by lightning.
