At 657 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 11 miles southwest of Seneca, or 5 miles south of Westminster, moving east at 15 mph. HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Minor hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to trees and power lines. Locations impacted include... Oakway and Westminster.
Instruction: 
Prepare immediately for large hail and damaging winds. People outside should move to a shelter, inside a strong building and away from windows. If on or near Lake Hartwell north of I-85, get away from the water and move indoors or inside a vehicle. Remember, lightning can strike out to 15 miles from the parent thunderstorm. If you can hear thunder, you are close enough to be struck by lightning. Move to safe shelter now! Do not be caught on the water in a thunderstorm.
