Mud Creek Near Jacksonville affecting Rusk, Nacogdoches, Cherokee
and Smith Counties.
For the Mud Creek...including Jacksonville...Minor flooding is
forecast.
* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* WHERE...Mud Creek near Jacksonville.
* WHEN...From this morning to late Friday night.
* IMPACTS...At 10.0 feet, Minor lowland flooding.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 9:00 AM CDT Thursday the stage was 10.1 feet.
- Bankfull stage is 9.0 feet.
- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 9:00 AM CDT Thursday was 10.1 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
Friday morning and continue falling to 4.2 feet Tuesday
morning.
- Flood stage is 9.0 feet.
- Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
10.1 feet on 05/17/1947.

Instruction:
Do not drive cars through flooded areas.
Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.
