Description:
* WHAT...Urban areas and small streams flooding caused by excessive
rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...A portion of northwest Louisiana, including the following
parishes, Bossier and Caddo.
* WHEN...Until 500 AM CDT.
* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying
and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 112 AM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges
indicated heavy rain has moved out of the warned area.
However, areas of light rain will continue for the next
couple of hours before finally ending. Flooding is already
occurring in the warned area, as multiple roads remain
flooded across the Shreveport and Bossier City metro areas.
Between two to in excess of five inches of rain have fallen
since Wednesday evening.
- Flooding impacts will continue, with additional rainfall
amounts of up to a quarter inch possible through 5 AM.

Shreveport, Bossier City, Vivian, Haughton, Greenwood,
Blanchard, Benton, Oil City, Mooringsport, Hosston, Belcher,
Gilliam, Fosters, Eastwood, Ferguson, Barksdale Air Force
Base, Dixie, Cross Lake, Red Chute and Linton.

Instruction:
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
Please report observed flooding to local emergency services or law
enforcement and request they pass this information to the National
Weather Service when you can do so safely.
