Minor flooding is forecast. * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Prairie Dog Town Fork Red River near Childress 10N. * WHEN...Through early tomorrow afternoon. * IMPACTS...At 10.0 feet, Cattle grazing in the flood plain are threatened by rising water. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 10:45 AM CDT Saturday the stage was 10.1 feet. - Bankfull stage is 10.0 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 10:45 AM CDT Saturday was 10.3 feet. - Forecast...The river will briefly fall below flood stage to 9.9 feet early this afternoon. It will then rise above flood stage again late this afternoon to 10.5 feet this evening. It will fall below flood stage again tomorrow morning. - Flood stage is 10.0 feet. - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 10.4 feet on 08/27/1996.
