Description:
* WHAT...Urban area and small stream flooding caused by excessive
rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...A portion of north central Louisiana, including the
following parishes, Caldwell, Grant, Jackson, La Salle and Winn.
* WHEN...Until 1215 AM CDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 910 PM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges
indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause
urban and small stream flooding. Between 2 to in excess of 3
inches of rain have fallen since late this afternoon.
- Additional rainfall amounts up to half inch is expected over
the area through 1215 AM. This additional rain will result in
minor flooding.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Winnfield, Columbia, Jena, Colfax, Olla, Clarks, Grayson,
Midway, Urania, Pollock, Dry Prong, Goldonna, Tullos, Dodson,
Georgetown, Calvin, Atlanta, Sikes, Rochelle and Zenoria.

Instruction:
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
Please report observed flooding to local emergency services or law
enforcement and request they pass this information to the National
Weather Service when you can do so safely.
