Description:
* WHAT...Urban area and small stream flooding caused by excessive
rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...Portions of north central and northwest Louisiana,
including the following parishes, in north central Louisiana,
Caldwell, Jackson, Lincoln, Ouachita and Union. In northwest
Louisiana, Bienville.
* WHEN...Until 1115 PM CDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 810 PM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges
indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause
urban and small stream flooding. Between 1.5 and 2 inches of
rain have fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over
the area through late this evening. This additional rain will
result in minor flooding.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Monroe, Ruston, Claiborne, West Monroe, Grambling, Jonesboro,
Brownsville-Bawcomville, Brownsville-Bawcom, Swartz,
Farmerville, Richwood, Sterlington, Dubach, Choudrant,
Simsboro, Chatham, Hodge, North Hodge, Vienna and East Hodge.

Instruction:
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
Please report observed flooding to local emergency services or law
enforcement and request they pass this information to the National
Weather Service when you can do so safely.
