Description:
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...A portion of west central Texas, including the following
counties, Callahan, Jones, Shackelford and Taylor.
* WHEN...Until 1045 AM CDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Water over roadways. Ponding of water in urban or other areas is
occurring or is imminent.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 849 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly in the advisory area. Between 0.5 and 0.75 inches of
rain have fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are expected
over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
flooding.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Abilene, Clyde, Tye, Hawley, Buffalo Gap, Hamby, Potosi,
Dyess Afb, Caps, View, Impact, Lake Fort Phantom Hill and
Kirby Lake.
- This includes Interstate 20 between Mile Markers 277 and 302.

Texas Avenue at Arnold Boulevard, Intersections along
Buttonwillow Parkway, Curry Lane from Clack Street to Catclaw
Drive, Intersections along Sammons Street, I-20 Frontage
Roads west of Clyde, Butternut Underpass, South 20th Street
and Brentwood, FM 3308 crossing Draw, South 27th Street at
Catclaw Creek and Antilley Rd. crossing Button Willow Creek.
