* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...Portions of Oklahoma, including the following counties, Comanche, Cotton, Jefferson, Stephens and Tillman and northern Texas, including the following counties, Archer, Clay, Wichita and Wilbarger. * WHEN...Until 345 AM CDT Wednesday. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Rises in small streams. Ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 749 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. - Additional rainfall amounts up to 2 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Wichita Falls, Burkburnett, Frederick, Henrietta, Walters, Archer City, Iowa Park, Electra, Holliday, Grandfield, Temple, Petrolia, Scotland, Byers, Dean, Chattanooga, Randlett, Windthorst, Bellevue and Davidson. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding.
