Description:
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.
* WHERE...Portions of southeast Kansas, including the following
county, Crawford and southwest Missouri, including the following
counties, Barton and Jasper.
* WHEN...Until 215 PM CDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 1247 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated that the heavy
rainfall had ended, however runoff from the earlier heavy
rain will continue into early this afternoon. Minor flooding
is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area.
Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen.
- This includes the following low water crossings...
East Fork Dry Wood Creek at NW 110th Lane and Muddy Creek at
Highway 126.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Lamar, Golden City, Liberal, Mulberry, Mindenmines,
Nashville, Lamar Heights, Irwin, Burgess, Milford, Oakton,
Iantha, Boston, Verdella, Kenoma, Hannon and Prairie State
Park.

Instruction:
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Many flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
