Description:
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...A portion of southeast Georgia, including the following
counties, Long and McIntosh.
* WHEN...Until 645 AM EDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 438 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated clusters of
thunderstorms with torrential rainfall extending from
southeast of Ludowici to Townsend and Darien. These storms
will be capable of producing a quick 1 to 2 inches of rain in
a short period, resulting in minor flooding of low-lying and
poor drainage areas.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Darien, Tibet, Townsend, Eulonia, Cox, Carnigan, Ridgeville,
Meridian, Valona and Wolf Island.
Instruction:
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
