Description:
* WHAT...Small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall
continues.
* WHERE...A portion of southeast Montana, including the following
county, northeast Carter.
* WHEN...Until 400 AM MDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas and
along small creeks, streams, and normally dry coulees. Water was
reported to be flowing over highway 323 earlier tonight.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 213 AM MDT, the public reported flooding and heavy rain in
the advisory area due to thunderstorms earlier tonight. Radar
estimates between 1.5 and 3.5 inches of rain have fallen in
the advisory area since last evening. Flooding of small
streams and poor drainage areas is likely ongoing.
- This includes the following streams and drainages...
Speelmon Creek, North Slick Creek, Boxelder Creek, Middle
Slick Creek, Spring Creek, Snow Creek, Big Ramme Creek,
Little Ramme Creek, Harmon Creek and Coal Creek.
Flooding impacts will continue for a few more hours as water
subsides, but no additional rainfall is expected in the near
term.

Mainly rural areas of Northeast Carter County.

Instruction:
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Do not
drive on or attempt to cross flooded roads, find an alternate route.
Roads and driveways may be damaged or washed out in places.
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
Please report observed flooding to local emergency officials and
request they pass the information to the National Weather Service in
Billings.
