For the Lower Mississippi River...including Tiptonville,
Caruthersville, Osceola, Memphis, Tunica Mhoon Landing, Helena...
elevated river levels are forecast.
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.
* WHERE...Mississippi River at Memphis.
* WHEN...Until Wednesday morning.
* IMPACTS...At 33.0 feet, In Memphis, Rivergate Drive could begin to
flood north of the rail yards. In Arkansas, settlement at Blue
Lake is flooded. Most secondary roads east of the Arkansas Levee
are covered.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 9:00 PM CDT Friday the stage was 33.3 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to fall to 8.7 feet Friday,
May 16.
- Action stage is 28.0 feet.
- Flood stage is 34.0 feet.
