The severe storm near Smyer is moving slowly to the south and southeast. * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues. * WHERE...A portion of northwest Texas, including the following counties, Hockley and Lubbock. * WHEN...Until 930 PM CDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Water over roadways. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 807 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. - Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1.5 inches are expected over the area.
