Flint Creek near Kansas affecting Delaware and Cherokee Counties. * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues. * WHERE...Flint Creek near Kansas. * WHEN...Until tomorrow morning. * IMPACTS...At 8.0 feet, Flint Creek threatens individual campsites and becomes dangerous for recreational floating. At 11.0 feet, minor flooding occurs from Fidlers Bend to Chewey Bridge. Permanent campgrounds and farmlands are affected. Turbulence makes the river unsafe for floating. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 8:30 AM CDT Sunday the stage was 9.6 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to fall briefly this morning and then rise again to around 9.6 feet this afternoon, which is below below flood stage.
