* Until 900 PM CDT.
* At 640 PM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated
thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between
2 and 3 inches of rain have fallen, and additional rainfall
amounts up to 1 inch are possible in the warned area through 9 pm.
Multiple roads have been flooded across the city of Tyler and
Smith County. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly.
HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms
producing flash flooding.

IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams,
urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses.

Tyler, Longview, Kilgore, Whitehouse, White Oak, Gladewater,
Gilmer, Lindale, Big Sandy, Hawkins, Ore City, Clarksville City,
East Mountain, West Mountain, Liberty City, Rosewood, Diana,
Hoard, Cedar Springs and Harleton.
Instruction:
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
Please report observed flooding to local emergency services or law
enforcement and request they pass this information to the National
Weather Service when you can do so safely.
