* Flash Flood Warning for...
East Central Hockley County in northwestern Texas...
* Until 1045 PM CDT.
* At 844 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated a stationary severe
thunderstorms producing very heavy rain in north of Smyer. Between
3 and 5 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of
1 to 2 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is
already occurring.
HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, highways,
streets and other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

This storm has been stationary for nearly 2 hours, but may begin
moving again shortly.
Instruction:
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
