NORTHERN, CENTRAL, AND WESTERN AREAS...
...FIRE WEATHER WATCH IN EFFECT MONDAY AFTERNOON FOR THE
NORTHEAST HIGHLANDS DUE TO STRONG WINDS, LOW HUMIDITY, AND HIGH
FIRE DANGER...
.Through late evening wind speeds will continue to weaken, and
humidities will continue to decrease, so the Red Flag Warning that
was in effect for today will be allowed to expire at 9 PM.
West winds will strengthen again Monday over the northeast
highlands where critical fire weather conditions will return.
* AREA AND TIMING...Northeast Highlands (Zone 123) this
afternoon and early evening then again Monday afternoon.
* 20 FOOT WINDS...Southwest 30 to 40 mph with gusts up to 55 mph.
* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...Minimum values 8 to 11 percent.
* IMPACTS...Any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly.
Outdoor burning is not recommended.
