* At 552 PM MDT, an area of blowing dust was over Columbus.
HAZARD...Less than a quarter mile visibility with strong winds up
to 45 mph.
SOURCE...Law enforcement.
IMPACT...Dangerous life-threatening travel.

Interstate 10 in New Mexico between mile markers 105 and 129.
Interstate 25 in New Mexico between mile markers 15 and 39.
Locations impacted include...
Fort Selden State Historic Site, Rincon, Leasburg, Camel Mountain,
Radium Springs, Leasburg Dam State Park, Columbus, Corralitos, Hatch,
and Portions of Jornada Experimental Range.
Instruction:
Dust storms lead to dangerous driving conditions with visibility
reduced to near zero. If driving, avoid dust storms if possible. If
caught in one, pull off the road, turn off your lights and keep your
foot off the brake.
