* Until 600 PM MDT.
* At 130 PM MDT, an area of blowing dust was over Rincon.
HAZARD...Near zero visibility with strong winds up to 45 mph.
SOURCE...Law enforcement.
IMPACT...Dangerous life-threatening travel.
* This includes the following highways...
Interstate 10 in New Mexico between mile markers 103 and 130.
Interstate 25 in New Mexico between mile markers 14 and 40.
Locations impacted include...
Fort Selden State Historic Site, Rincon, Hill, Leasburg, Hatch, Camel
Mountain, Radium Springs, Akela, Leasburg Dam State Park, Columbus,
Corralitos, Jornada Range, and Portions of Jornada Experimental
Range.
Instruction:
Dust storms lead to dangerous driving conditions with visibility
reduced to near zero. If driving, avoid dust storms if possible. If
caught in one, pull off the road, turn off your lights and keep your
foot off the brake.
